Fashion Illustration

1.Sketching from references
Figure drawings in pencil based on photographic references, studying pose, proportion and the way garments fall on the body.

2.Marker rendering
Copic markers bring color and volume to the drawings, from fitted dresses to textured garments such as a fur vest.

3.Technical drawing
Flat drawings of garments, such as trousers, shown from different views to describe fit and construction clearly.

4.Garment variations
Studies of the same jacket in different versions, exploring details and proportions.

5.Volume and layering
Pencil studies of oversized outerwear and layered volumes, exploring texture and the drape of fabric.

6.Digital illustration: tailored suit
An Adobe Illustrator illustration of a white tailored suit with wide-leg trousers, built from a reference photo and a base figure.

Techniques
Copic markers, pencil and Adobe Illustrator.
